Dress Shopping FAQS
Why shop at Evermore?
As a boutique sister store to Eva’s Bridal Center in Oak Creek, we are an experienced team who knows the bridal business and has grown to accommodate all brides in the Greater Milwaukee Area. We are excited to share the intimate boutique Evermore experience with our brides, making the downtown boutique experience available to all brides in the suburbs, too! We have designed a gorgeous modern, vintage-styled boutique with every thought of our bride’s ultimate experience in mind. Let your forevermore start at Evermore!
Do I need an appointment to visit? And, can I take pictures?
We do require appointments to fulfill your boutique experience and ensure the ultimate experience for you and your group, but we do have both early and later appointment times to accommodate your schedule. Appointments do fill up fast, so call a few weeks in advance to schedule a time to visit us! Also, feel free to take pictures, as we want you to feel comfortable in your dress and know that it’s the one. We have such confidence in our designers collections and hand-picked selections, that we encourage this. We’d be happy to take a picture with you and your group once you’ve said ‘Yes to the Dress,’ as well!
When should I begin shopping for my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses?
We recommend shopping for both wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses approximately eight to 12 months before your wedding date, ideally. This will allow enough time for orders to be placed, received and alterations performed (if needed) in enough time for the big day. Dresses can be ordered inside of that timeframe, but may require rush fees from the designers to ensure the dresses are made and received on time, as dresses can take approximately four to six months to be produced and received. Wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses can become discontinued or costs of dresses can increase, so we recommend ordering as soon as you have found the perfect dress for you or your bridal party.
What is the average price of a wedding dress? And, what size samples do you have to try on in store?
We carry designer gowns in sizes 8 to 24 starting at $1,600 through approximately $3,900, with the majority falling in the middle of that range. We carry an extensive list of exclusive designer collections that are not widely available, offering unique designs and some couture labels. We do have in-store events and promotions monthly, so check our website for the latest updates. Also, sample gowns off the rack can be available for purchase.
Do you accept returns?
All sales are final. There are no returns, exchanges or refunds, as wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses are truly made to order based on the bride or bridesmaid order request in the select style, color and size. All sample or stock merchandise is sold as is.
Can you ship dresses?
It is very common that either the bride and/ or members of her bridal party are out of town (or country) and will not be easily accessible for appointments or fittings. We are certainly able to accommodate you, regardless of your location and we do ship dresses, if needed, as well.
Do you offer alterations and when should they be started?
While do we not offer in-house alterations at this time, Ava’s Alterations, based in Franklin, Wisconsin, is a seamstress Evermore Bridal prefers. This means Evermore Bridal refers all of its customers to Ava’s Alterations for tailoring needs. Ava’s Alterations is also the only vendor where Evermore Bridal’s $50 alterations credit (for brides who receive the “Bridal Bundle” promo) can be redeemed. Ava’s Alterations is not an extension of Evermore Bridal. It is its own separate business entity. In general, bridal gown alterations should start no sooner than two months before the wedding date to avoid rush charges. Any questions or concerns about alterations should be referred to Ava’s Alterations.
